A signature that reaches a C2PA root is not a qualified seal, and we will not display it as one. Overstating evidence is the fastest way to make evidence worthless.
Anyone should be able to check a file without an account, an invoice or a login. We charge the organisations that create content, not the public that receives it.
Code that decides whether evidence is valid cannot be a black box. verifier-core is EUPL-licensed and runs without us. We say plainly which parts are not open.
NOT_FOUND appears on every result page with the same sentence attached: it does not mean human-made. A tool that lets people forget this causes more harm than it prevents.
